Shavonda is a Master’s level social worker and has been a practicing clinician since 2017. She is a two time graduate of The Ohio State University. Shavonda has clinical experience working with both adults and juveniles. She is passionate about helping other learn about their personal experiences with mental illnesses and serving as an advocate for those with mental illnesses. Shavonda is a firm believer that therapy is for everyone and should not be limited to those who have a formal diagnosis. Shavonda’s experiences include work focused on Depression, Anxiety, Women’s Issues and co-occurring mental illness and substance abuse disorders. Shavonda is also a Christian and has experience with practicing faith and managing mental illness simultaneously. Her clinical foundation is inclusive of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

I use mindfulness and eclectic approaches to help client’s overcome a variety of challenges such as childhood trauma, anxiety, depression, family discord, blended family concerns, self-esteem, work/life balance, personal identity and development, stress and life transitions.
